Statue of Timi is all about creating music that represents and reflects the views of me, John Rancik. At times, the music can be aggressive and in your face . . . a good reflection of the times we live in, other moments are much more somber and filled with contemplation. Statue of Timi is an acoustic based medium for my expression, but far from limited to that genre. Elements of various musical styles will be heard from this endeavor. I can't create in one genre, it would be insulting to rest of the music that I've listened to all of my life. I didn't come here to shamelessly promote my work coz' I'm too old for Mtv (also not nearly pretty enough). I've posted my work in an effort to share a few ideas and create some meaningful dialogue with other like minded musicians.
