We have been invited back! Bynum Front Porch Music Series The Friday Night Music Series is made possible by the Chatham Arts Council. Folks from all over the Triangle bring chairs and sit under an open sky to enjoy fine music, food from local vendors and each other's company on summer evenings from May to September. Tickets to the events are not needed but a hat is passed to compensate the performers and a $3 to $7 donation is requested. The music takes place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. It is open to the public and features a variety of bands spanning multiple musical genres including gospel, folk, blues, rockabilly and bluegrass. We will be playing at 7:00 pm.
Squier Red & The Blues Band is playing at The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease, the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death.
Squier Red & The Blues Band is playing on stage right across from the water. The smell of down-east barbecue fills the air in the Historic Downtown Harbour District in Washington, NC located on the beautiful Pamlico River. This family festival centers around it’s barbecue and chili cook-offs. This year, the Chili Cook-Off will be a sanctioned event. But food is just the beginning of the fun and entertainment offered at this Eastern Carolina Festival favorite. Stroll along the quaint waterfront and enjoy other events like the Beaufort County Arts Council juried Fine Arts Show, music, children’s activities, a classic car show, 5K Race, Bed Race, skydivers, vendors and much more.. The Smoke on the Water festival is a service project of the Washington Noon Rotary. All proceeds are distributed to local non-profit agencies.
The Art Walk Holiday Market is a festive fine arts and crafts event that kicks off the holiday season in downtown Durham! The Holiday Market invites art lovers for a weekend full of art and holiday spirit including: dazzling examples of local artistic talent, world-class restaurants, great shopping, innovative new businesses and fascinating historic sites. Get your holiday shopping done early and support local artists! Visitors can purchase fine art and crafts at the Durham Arts Council and other sites. Visitors will also be able to hear live musical performances, and enjoy great food.
