Squid Lid is a diverse duo of marine cephalopods. Like all cephalopods, Squid Lid is distinguished by having a distinct head, bilateral symmetry, a mantle, and arms. Squid Lid, like most creatures in the Swampwater genre, have eight arms and two tentacles arranged in pairs which are used primarily to operate their mantles. The mantle is an organ, a visceral mass or a dorsal body wall which is used by the Squid Lids to secrete auditory shell formations. Lid is the inept or immature operator in the amateur radio service (derogatory). It takes the ancient understanding of a cephalopod to counterbalance this reckless energy and hone it into a comprehensible composition.
