"Perhaps the most interesting part about Special Guests is that the music released on their albums crosses various genres and sounds. Because the music crosses so many boundaries that define an artist’s music, there’s really something for just about everyone on a Special Guest’s album. The latest release from the studio is described as a “Smokin’ blues song about passion and obsession…” The sultry feel of the ambiance overwhelms and drags the listener in to the song’s carnal tendencies. Vocalist Steve Baker builds intensity in the song gradually adding to the bluesy feel with a loose and charged “smokey” timbre. Encapsulating the blues is an uncharacteristic but significant mood altering ethereal atmospheric guitar, effected brass, and unique percussion sounds that make the song drop back out to the silence it originated from. All in all, this is what makes Special Guest Albums great."
