CoffeeCON is a consumer event featuring tastings of the world’s great coffees roasted by craft roasters and brewed by an assortment of different brewing methods. Our goal is to present every bean, every roast and every method. The second goal of CoffeeCON is to present classes on brewing and roasting methods at all skill levels. COFFEECon 2013 music entertainment even adds to the “coffee shop” atmosphere. Throughout the conference, seven flavorful acoustic acts will perform live. Entertainment provided by Chicago Acoustic Underground (“CAU”), the international, original music podcast series streaming for six years at www.chicagoacoustic.net. “Working with COFFEECon is helping satiate two of our greatest loves—music and coffee, and you can’t beat that” says Hannah Frank, CAU Publicist. “From as far north as Milwaukee, and from throughout the city, CAU has hand-picked music that coffee fans will enjoy.” 10:15 AM Lance Brown (Jazz/Blues/Folk) Lance’s original songs reflect a sense of humor, love and understanding that comes only with a maturity gleaned from years of joyful and sometimes sobering life experience. http://www.lancestunes.com 11:15 AM Annie B (Rock) This WAMI Award-nominated singer and “rock vixen” has been dubbed “the second coming of Alanis Morissette!” Her energetic song “Coffee Beans” is a perfect wake up song. http://anniebmusic.com/ “COFFEE BEANS” by Annie B https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bO2kgyhhGvI 12:15 PM Ellis Clark (Pop) A long-time performer, record producer and arranger, Clark’s original pop music features 12-string guitar. The Chicago-based ensemble is best known for its distinct chordal structure, beautiful string harmonies and intricate solo work.
