Bio
In March 2005, Paul McComiskey was asked to put together a group of musicians to take part in a night of Irish music in Belfast.
That first night inspired Paul (keyboards), Davy (Bodhran/Mandolin/low whistle), Albert (Vocals/Guitar)& George (Concertina/Harmonica) to continue playing together in the hope that they could explore and communicate concepts of their shared culture and Christian faith through the medium and traditions of Irish Folk music.
So that is what they started to do, and, joined in 2006 by Nigel Cameron (percussion/whistles) and Andrew Heron (vocals/guitar/whistle), they have played in many different places, including visits to France and Spain and concerts throughout Ireland.
Their first CD recording was a short-run 6 track EP put together for their appearance at the St. Patrick's festival in Chattau Thierry, France March 2007. However in 2008 the guys finally produced their first full length CD, originally titled 'Slemish' on which is a selection of the music they most enjoy playing – jigs, reels and ballads, traditional folk songs and songs with a more spiritual focus.
Kevin Burns (flute/fiddle/mandolin/whistle etc) joined the group in Sept 2008 (replacing Andrew who has returned to live in France) and rehearsals are underway for a tour of France in March 2009
