“Sparky young rockers Skarlett Riot are the perfect start to the final day. Remarkably unfazed by occasion, the female-fronted hard rockers sound like a juvenile Halestorm, in a very good way.”

PT, Kerrang - Download festival review
“ Skarlett Riot absolutely owned the stage at West Street Live for their brief but massively well received set, stomping across it like it was Wembley Stadium while the amassed crowd lapped it up. Give them a chance, you lot, as live, they're spectacular”

Andrew Hawnt, Powerplay magazine live review
"Every bit as fun as chasing puppies around the house, Skarlett Riot are a band springing with energy. Not only are they an impressively young entry into a list of UK bands oblivious to peer pressure, the Lincolnshire quartet also have the talent to match with their high-octane, old school rock 'n' roll. Party Hard is a madcap dash of riffs and hooks, while Read My Lips and You're The Enemy reach more pronounced climaxes. The title-track even ties all of these strenghts into one brilliant four-minute tirade. There's obviously much to come from this prodigious band who should be excited about just how good they already are. So should you." KKKK

Kerrang! Magazine
"Villain pools together the quartet's mature nature in collaboration with intense guitar solos and intricate rhythmic patterns. Spitting out fiery melodies, Skarlett Riot hit hard with a classic rock edge alongside face-melting hooks throughout each track, channelling the likes of Evanescence and Paramore. It's catchy, it's bolshy, and its the perfect sound track to rocking out" 4/5

"This bunch pack one hell of an aggressive punch. Armed with a batch of songs tighter and catchier than their young years would suggest. Make no mistake: Skarlett Riot are a band to keep a firm eye on." 7/10

Jen Walker, Rocksound Magazine
" Skarlett Riot - Villain will certainly put any female fronted rock doubters in their places. The lincolnshire quartet have released a ballsy, infectious piece of music that will leave you pleasantly surprised. Think Paramore meets Guns N Roses, glossy pop hooks fused with heavy, gritty riffs and rocking guitar solos. The chorus is a catchy refrain which is going to stick in your mind, whether you like it or not." 4/5

Clare Huckett, Black Velvet Magazine
“Skarlett Riot are a female fronted band with balls; they know how to craft catchy hooks, they have an adorable lead vocalist, and their riffs don't skimp on the crunch. Good times are had by all during their sophomore EP, the flashy "Villain", and while they aren't your typical Within Temptation wannabes, they do remind one of acts such as Sister Sin or Addiction Crew, that being tough street metal with a hard rock edge. ”

“Female fronted shredding and metal awesomeness!”

Katie P, KERRANG!
"Skarlett Riot show their ability to rock rather capably. Unsurprisingly, the vocals provide a focal point to the music and with good reason Skarletts voice is. Sharp, powerful and put to good use through a wealth of catchy hooks. Musically the band are effiectively an up tempo hard rock outfit. As such the guitars are moderately heavy and at times even punishing whereas the rhythm section seems to accentuate the energy behind the proceedings perfectly. Its clear that the band sounds their best when at their most animated, with Never Believe It and Take It All stealing the show by being thumoingly lively." - 7/10

Powerplay magazine
"This Scunthorpe band have managed to sqeeze all the hallmarks of a great rock album into four rollicking tracks. The title track has infectious energy. 'Draw The Line' flirts with a melancholic twist while 'Take It All' is an anthemic tour de force. The sultry female vocals don't hurt either." - 7/10

" With the versatile and soaring vocals of frontwomen Skarlett to the dirty, fuzzed up guitars and mind melting solo, you'll never believe it that you haven't heard of them until now!" -4/5

“Skarlett Riot are like Courtney Love fronting early Heart with some damn fine G'nR esque riffs!.. you got balls!

Luke Wilkins, Kerrang Radio
“Timed perfectly for a little relaxation on the Jaegermeister stage, Skarlett Riot have come to smooth us into an acoustic set that brings out the quality of their musicianship. These are little people with a big sound. Momentarily the heavy shit is banished into recesses as a cosy living groom atmosphere with puppies and pillows is created.
A strong contralto voice she has. Oozing performance charisma that slides down one’s through like a syrupy Jaegerbomb, the blue eyed Skarlett starlet seduces grown men to drool as Danny’s Guitar cuts out and he embraces Skarlett to finish the set without dropping a note. I want to pack these hard rockers in my bag and take them home with me.

“Imagine Paramore crossed with Hole with a bit of Joan Jett thrown in for good measure and you get a good idea what this North Lincolnshire act is all about. The power these guys have is awesome and front woman 'Skarlett' really delivers. In fact it's fair to say that this lady has a really powerful voice which really does need to be heard to be appreciated. The band knows how to deliver musician wise as they drive those guitars and bass with so much passion. Keeping it all in check on drums is Luke. Lots of confidence here and tracks such as 'Party Hard' and 'You're The Enemy' will just blow you away! Skarlett Riot is a band that I think are going to make it in 2012. 9/10
