About

Sirius.B brings to you the finest Absurdist Gypsy Metal Folk Funk Punk that the world has to offer.

Their "impressively irreverent, combustible, three-ring circus of sound" (as described by the Mountain Xpress) is formed using an ancient recipe of gypsy melodies, Andean folk instrumentation, and Uzbekistani dance rhythms blended with a solid base created from some of the more tasteful elements of American rock.

Shortly after its conception in December of 2006, the band quickly achieved a large fan base and has generated a significant buzz in the greater Asheville area. Sirius.B has entertained at such well-attended Asheville venues as The Rocket Club, The Garage at Biltmore, Bobo Gallery, Hannah Flanagan's, The Root Bar, The New French Bar, Westville Pub, and the French Broad Brewery. They headlined a sold-out New Year's Eve show at Bobo Gallery and recently drew a record-breaking crowd at The Rocket Club for the release of their 8-track CD entitled "Dazzling Urbanites".

Their loyal fan base recently made their voices heard in a Mountain Xpress poll in which the band was voted among the best unknown bands in Western NC. They were recently voted the first runner-up in the EarthDay Asheville competition as well as featured on the cover of and reviewed in the Mountain Xpress (the premier Arts Newspaper in WNC) which compared the excitement of a live Sirius.B show to what “one would imagine Athens, Georgia’s 40 Watt Club to have been like in the early days of REM”.

The members of Sirius.B are:
Pancho Romero Bond - Vocals, Guitar, Kazoo, Portuguese Thumb Harp
Xavier Ferdón - Guitar, Charango, Vocals
Amy Lovinger - Violin
ßrÿshen ßrÖthwεll - Bass, Accordion, Vocals

For Sirius.B, shelves are more like family... and that's the way they like it.
