About

 Siobhán O'Brien
Singer & Songwriter (pronounced Shiv-awn) hails from Limerick, Ireland.
She has bee entertaining audiences with her individual, unique voice and style of songwriting her whole life, literally. Siobhán made her first audio recording at the tender age of six, with an old Burl Ives sea shanty. Siobhan has roots from four generations in the music industry. Most notably, she is the niece of '60s legend, Brendan Bowyer (
www.Brendanbowyer.com).

Siobhán has been described as "caressing a lyric with sophisticate simplicity."
She has an untouched voice and has been compared to Joan Baez, Sarah McLaughlin, Sheryl Crow & Judy Collins.
In addition to Bob Dylan inviting her to join him on stage, Siobhan has supported groups and acts such as:
Henry McCullough, Donavan, Christy Moore,The Cranberries, Maria McKee, Sharon Shannon & Mick Flannery.

 Recent guest appearances with:

The Chieftains 2008 USA

Sharon Shannon  2008  Ireland

The Tir Na Nog Band. 2007 Ireland

Siobhán’s new cd  is  called “Songs I grew up to” with American folk songs, and she is now back in the
studio recording songs she has written for her forthcoming album...more on that soon...
