SUBVERSION presents PUSSYFEST III! Burlesque - Bellydance - Sideshow - Drag - Pole - Hoop - Fire - Assorted Chaos! All proceeds go to feline charities... There is no time like right meow!!! with DJ SKELETAL THE SPIRITUAL BAT (Frosinone, Italy) (Rock/Goth/Alternative) The Spiritual Bat is Dario Passamonti (Music and Arrangements) and Rosetta Garrì (Lyrics and Arrangements, particularly drums). Initially meant to release all instrumental music, when a recording session for acoustic drums was set up, Rosetta, who had previously been the drummer, on a spur of the moment wrote and recorded the lyrics and vocals for Through The Shadows. The Spiritual Bat is an evolution from "The Spiritual Bats" project which was conceived in 1992 by Dario Passamonti and Matteo Bracaglia. The vinyl EP Spiritual Bats was released in 1993. The project always featured artwork by the Alchemisti Painters (Biennial of Venice, 1986 Art and Alchemy section), as well as their installations and projections during live performances. In November 1994 the Spiritual Bats had the pleasure and the honour of opening for Rozz Williams (Christian Death) and his Daucus Karota, at the Black Out (Rome). Confession was recorded in May 1995, immediately after a show at the Velvet. Shamanic drummer Rosetta, was present at that event, and joined the group shortly after. Sacrament was released in 1999, after the live show at CB’s Gallery (Alchemy), New York, August 1998, with the projection of the Funeral Cries Video. In addition to the Alchemisti Art, Sacrament proudly features the Graphics Art by Eric Hammer, (Requiem In White, Mors Syphilitica), today also known as Doc Hammer (Venture Brothers). In 1999 the track Crucifixion was included The Unquiet Grave Volume 1 by CLEOPATRA. In 2004 the founders of the project decided to part. Dario continues to bring his visions to life through sound with Rosetta. Thanks to the encouragement of fans and a promise to a friend who passed away in 2008, they decided to share that intimate dimension: The Bat WAS ready to come out live. Two U.S. tours have taken place since then: the Through The Shadows Tour in 2009, and The Lowlands Tour in 2010 (with Sullen Serenade). In 2011 The Spiritual Bat signs with the historic German label DANCE MACABRE AND RELEASES CRUEL MACHINE. A Limited, hand-numbered edition of the same music, Packaged in a deluxe 6″ x 9″ folder including an 8.5″ x 11″ poster, has been released by Philadelphia based label Industry8/Digital Ferret. STRAP ON HALO (OMAHA, NE) (Alternative/Gothic/Darkwave) After being laid to rest in 2003, Strap On Halo resurrected in 2009 with a new lineup including Layla Reyna, Marc Jones and original founding member Sean Rial. Strap On Halo's is an American Goth Rock band whose music harkens to 'traditional gothic' driven by howling guitars, resonating bass and a haunting female voice. In the summer of 2009 Strap On Halo wrote and recorded Cherry Flavored Quick Fix. The EP has three original songs and one remix of “I Feel Like Yesterday” by Martin Atkins. It was recorded and produced by Martin Atkins at the Mattress Factory in Chicago, Illinois and released October 2009 independently. Promoting the release the band set out on their Quick Fix US Tour in the summer of 2010. On June 10, 2011, Strap On Halo released their debut full length release, "The Dead Don't Lie" produced, mixed and mastered by Mick Shearman of NightPorter and John Ross of ANXST. Coinciding with the release they set out on the Memento Mori US Tour that spanned five weeks and included The Hiram Key from the UK during select dates. Strap On Halo will be on tour across the west coast and Texas from July 14th-July 30th. Other dates include four shows with The Spiritual Bat on their US Tour in the Midwest during the month of September. SOH will also play the first annual Age of Decay Festival on September 22, 2012, in Jacksonville, FL. SINFINIS (St. Louis, MO) (Alternative/Trip Hop/Industrial) We are Mary Elizabeth and Kai Kennedy.
