Q: Have you considered releasing a four or five song EP that's totally "in your face", high tempo? Sort of a contrast piece to the gorgeous constructs of Etched. Could be fun!
A: Interesting question Tom. The album Etched has a number of tempo shifts, with a more or less equal number of rockers like Where You'll Find It, Meet Out By The Lake to slow folk tunes, such as the title track and closer Endings and Beginnings. Listeners could choose to create their own collections of just heavy "in your face" tracks. There are lots of tunes in that vein from all 4 studio albums. We are always writing and have enough songs for a 5th album now. Stylistically the songs continue to explore prog. rock, folk, alternative and even a touch of blues. We like our albums to create a musical journey, with twists, turns and surprises to keep things interesting. The trick to make the work sound cohesive is in the sequencing.
