Beto and the Fairlanes Celebrate 35 Year Anniversary
Austin, TX - August 9th, 2012 - Beto and the Fairlanes, one of Austin's longest standing musical supergroups, celebrates 35 years together with "35 DAZE of BETO" - 35 consecutive days of performances and appearances.
Beginning Sunday, August 26th with "Beto Day" at Riverbend Church, the band will perform a range of events from late-night bars to sunset performances to radio & television appearances, concluding with "Beto's Full Moon Finale" at Threadgill's World Headquarters on Sunday, September 30th, celebrating the release of the "Best of Beto" CD (available in stores October 1st).
Beto and the Fairlanes, the creation of composer/performer/teacher Robert "Beto" Skiles, built their brand performing a weekly circuit of the legendary Liberty Lunch in Austin, Rockefeller's in Houston and the famedGreenville Avenue district in Dallas. The band has performed onPBS' Austin City Limits, toured with the Austin Symphony, and played festivals across the United States and Mexico, deeming Beto and the Fairlanes the "International Band of Texas."
