Bukue One (FME Culture, Oakland CA)
Born to Black Panther parents, Tion Torrence grew up equally influenced by both the skater and the hip-hop cultures found prevalently in the Bay Area, where he was raised. His father, who was sang backup in Marvin Gaye's touring band, surrounded his son with music, and by his teenage years Torrence had started rapping himself. However, he found that he was an adept businessman, as well, and started his own company, Urban Productions, which, in 1998, put together a four-day festival that united skating and hip-hop. Soon after, he was managing L.A. rapper Aceyalone's Austrialian tour, a move that also proved to be fruitful to his career as MC (and graffiti writer) Bukue One, as his song, "4 tha Graff Heads," was met with enthusiasm overseas. More tours, singles, and mixtapes came in the following years, and in 2007 Bukue One came out with his first official full-length, Intromission, which was released in digital-only format in collaboration with Alpha Pup Records.

Anonymous (And.On.I.Must, New York, NY)
Born in the crooked womb of dirty Florida punk, ska, and death metal bands, Anonymous {And.On.I.Must} rose from the earth as an emcee in a whirl-wind cypher of vicious poetry and rapid-fire lyricism over some of the most diverse instrumentation imaginable. Before moving to New York he made a name for himself in his home town of Tampa, Florida where he performed alongside such artists as Dj Rob Swift of the Executioners who calls him “the future of Hip Hop, in this day and age of trend following…” With three D.I.Y. tours, an album, an EP, and a mixtape under his belt, Anonymous inspires crowds into raucous ecstasy at every show. Whether screaming his lungs out over chopped up Nirvana-samples and break beats at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn or performing beautiful stripped down versions of his songs with blue grass guitar accompaniment at a coffee shop in the Mid West. “Sincerely, Anonymous” was a featured top 5 album in the TBT, and his single “Avenue Drifter” was honored on VibraOnline’s Top 10, and enjoyed a heavy internet buzz in Varna, Bulgaria. Anonymous has performed and toured with nothing but his laptop and sweat, to various turntablists and brass musicians, to a full band on his last US run. He is currently based out of New York City.
