Hometown: Boise, ID
Genre: Country / Country Rock / Rockabilly
A cocktail of dirty western style roots music and country tinged parlor tunes that spikes straight, dirty rebellion into the veins of American music with the dust of the Idaho back roads.
Old Death Whisper…a recipe handed down to Grandaddy Jake Santee back in 1878 by a dying indian behind the local gambling house, was 194 proof moonshine; which was believed to give immortality. It’s rumored that Jake is still alive today due to his frequent use of Old Death Whisper. Old Death Whisper is also a band of gentlemen playing and writing original country music from the banks of the Big Wood River in central Idaho. Like their previous incarnation, The Damphools, Old Death Whisper sticks to a simple philosophy. That being, the music should reflect the bands integrity, its weaknesses and its strengths. The sound is loose and raucous with elements of the muddy delta, the dusty Texas deserts, and the mountains of the west and the dark forests of Appalachia. Sometimes high in octane like Jake Santee’s moonshine, Old Death Whisper feels like it could give you immortality. And then with the next song, they can drag you through the mud of some dark swamp and leave you for dead (and loving it). The live shows are full of piss and vinegar and guaranteed to get you and your gal dancing. Rockers, kickers, cowboy angels, old timers, greasers and punks alike will enjoy Old Death Whisper and their brand of rural junkyard folk and cut throat honky tonk.

Mistakenly separated at birth, Chad and Wes would go twenty plus years before being reunited in the most unusual of circumstances. chad remained in safe hands and led a normal life being raised by our mom. i on the other hand, lived the duration of my life being raised by wolves and living in a hollowed out oak tree in the deep south woods. while chad was being prepped to become a legendary composer in the finest music institutions europe and the far east had to offer. i wandered the thick humid woods of the south, in a pack we roamed, gaining wisdom on the intricate musical landscape that existed. the dirtiest blues, country, folk and all around insane storytelling one could ever imagine became my daily diet. i absorbed all i could, in hopes that i would one day inject my style of american music in to all whom came to listen.
