As part of the 2012 Melbourne International Jazz Festival, the Doug de Vries Trio will be presenting a special concert dedicated to the music of Baden Powell. One of the most important guitarists in the history of Brazilian music, Powell also composed such great works as the Afro-Sambas suite. De Vries will be joined by Frank Di Sario (bass) and Al McGrath-Kerr (drums/percussion).
