LINGERIE/SWIMWEAR PARTY!!
12 Days of art in January
Presented by Brooklyn Wildlife
SYNOPSIS:
We will be hosting a series of events throughout the month of January in order to showcase my nude artwork, give a venue to some of my friends that are creators and producers of art and to actualize a community space for people to exchange ideas.
The series of events are scheduled to take place every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday during the month of January and will be an extravaganza of Photography, film, music, clothing bazaars, and discourse --- specifically; listening parties for artists, DJ lessons, photo shoots and video shoots in the space, rap school, opportunities for artists to showcase new material, miniature film festivals, and at least one event utilizing the aerial capabilities of the space.
Locations to be released soon.. suspense...
THE PURPOSE:
1.To make art accessible and tangible to all in the community that are able to
appreciate it. I would like to remove some of social sitgmas and the
barriers that often accompany the appreciation of fine art.. prices will be
reasonable and as a curator I will keep the artists' interests as the priority.
2. To provide a welcoming social environment and a creatively safe space for
the exchange of ideas and art. Come as you are, be yourself and let's
exchange.
3. To reconcile the the dichotomy often found when art and commerce are
placed in a marketplace - how do we make money and good art?
I want to remind the community that there are young people
who believe in the truth of art and its potential for social edification and
I plan use this series of events as a prototype for future endeavors that
encourage community as well as fiscal exchange and growth.

====ALL MONTH I WILL BE SHOWING MY ARTwORK=======
Paradigm/ideology
my art is a mixture of documentary, fantasy, and experimentation; with attention to the ephemeral and transitory; it is an attempt to capture and present those brief moments that can represent a cultural epoch. It is my personal record of our collective being.
I am purposefully printing on paper that will fade and become discolored, using ink that will fade and crack and morph over time - printed on what other people would consider refuse or waste. I am making a statement about now... this postmodern moment, the utopia, dystopia, the temporal nature of existence and I like to play with how people conceive of normalcy, privacy, and self expression to find the beauty in all that is.. and that beauty is truth.. the attempt to distill the universal form and geist of my generation.
Methodology:
To print images no smaller than three feet by three feet and presented in a non traditional fashion.. no frames.. no mattes .. but printed on industrial paper in black ink and glued, adhered or wheatpasted to found materials.
