The disaster in the Gulf of Mexico has and continues to cause unprecedented levels of destruction to the coastal wetlands and communities of the Gulf region. The region is a key habitat and breeding ground for several endangered animal species in addition to providing abundant resources for the people who reside there. As the tragedy plays on the long term effects continue to grow exponentially. That is why we felt compelled to organize this event to benefit the wildlife that have become victims a tragedy resulting human actions beyond their control.
That is why we have chosen to work with one of the most reputable and active organizations involved in the relief effort for the animals, the National Wildlife Federation. With your participation and the help of our generous sponsors we are determined to make a large contribution to the efforts of the NWF so that the Gulf can remain a national treasure
