“Colorado hip-hop artist Spoke in Wordz has done it again with his latest project, A Tribe Called Mex’s new album Beans, Rhymes & Rice. The clever name of the group is only exceeded by the clever rhymes and concepts that fill the album. Spoke in Wordz, who makes up the group along with Surpass Flavor, consistently produces projects at a pace that is surprising considering the high quality of the music released. The third track is an ear-tickling listen for classic hip-hop fans. Along with cuts from DJ Chonz. The song, “Another One,” features hip-hop artist 2MX2 and is up-tempo and atypical from the style fans are used to from Spoke in Wordz, but it works surprisingly well. Surpass Flavor serves as a great addition to the quick rhyme patterns of Spoke, with a more classic delivery and raspy voice. Even the tracks that sound more mainstream, like “Blown” and “Shake That,” work well. The only song that is out of place is the socially progressive track “Serious Discussion”

“London Producer Shocker G hooked up two fire beats for Baltimore Female Rapper Jaydee Polo, check Um Out For yourselves.”

“Produced by Shocker G this is ‘Everybody Holla’. It’s got a great new aged hip hop beat, with new aged hip hop flow. T.G.I.F. and Thank God You Listened To This Song, or T.G.Y.L.T.T.S. It’s a bit long, but it works. Don’t forget for everybody to holla and lets all get dumb. Have a good weekend y’all. Enjoy!”

“A Tribe Called Mex, the duo consisting of Spoke-In-Wordz & Surpass Flavor, keep dropping hot ones before releasing their March 8 album, Beans, Rhymes & Rice. This time out they’ve connected with vocalists Shocker G and Iesha Spinks with a smoothed out track that has me ready to cruise Federal Blvd. Check it out below and let’s go!”

“Get ready to make some noise, Booth readers! On Surpass Flavor‘s latest EP single, the Denver representative requests that Everybody Holla as he laces Shocker G‘s Kanye-inspired Chipmunk-blues boardwork with engagingly-flowed braggadocio. Need more Surpass in your life? Then keep it locked for more fresh tunes leading up to the currently-unscheduled, but imminent, release of the artist’s Over/Under EP.”
