“SHADOW THIEVES – Space Between EP
(Independent)
Interesting, entertaining and beautiful
Space Between is a highly enjoyable listen. In Dinosaur Skin, vocalist Matt Buckley, asks the age-old question, “Did dinosaurs ever have skin?” While in the following track, Mystery, he asks, “Why did Pandas choose black and white?” All the hard questions as you can see, but interesting to hear how well he has worked them into the songs. Never Seen Today is almost too close to perfect. To describe it in one word I would have to use ‘beautiful’. The closing track, The Right Time, seems to sum up the preceding tracks perfectly, heavy and very attractive to the ears. Shadows Thieves have a sound that mixes really old Incubus with structures that would be loved by Muse fans. Definitely worth the price of the EP and admission to their next show.”
