Sekaa Gong Tirta Sinar

Tirta Sinar is a Balinese Gamelan group based in Sydney, Australia that has performed in New South Wales and Queensland since 1992. The group has around 16 players and is a club which is always happy to welcome new members who are interested in Balinese music. We play on two sets of instruments that belong to the Australian Museum and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Our performances are a mixture of instrumental and dance pieces. Local Balinese dancers regularly perform with us. Some of the music is very old, but we also play recent compositions.
