About
SatiritaS
A rather motley assemblage of a few strapping young lads who have devoted themselves to music, and plan to continue for sometime. James the singer, has vocal stylings anywhere between clean soft, even classically inspired to growls and screaming heard in no other bands today. And no, no high pitched screechy emo-esque shit nor pig squeals. Jonathan, one of our finest guitarists owns shred, there is no other way to explain it. He spends equal time with jazz and classical guitar and music in general, and also is a drummer on the side. Josh is our guitarist as well, his background is with a number of different instruments in different genres, but soul belongs to Metal. However he does tend to have a more funk-inspired playing style. Alex dominates the low frequencies; he too has progressed from other instruments to bass, as well as having a very jazzy side. He also refuses to play with a pick simply because it forces him to play what is more difficult and challenging, and to paraphrase him: it looks cooler. Mike is some guy who has been playing drums for 7 years, has done an intense jazz study, and continues into linear funk studies today, while he takes it upon himself to adapt his own style when he applies his playing to the Metal genre.
They have been a band, give or take a few members, since late summer/early fall of 2006. While it may seem that this is not a lot of experience, most of them have been performing or involved in other bands. Mike has struggled with assembling a decent group of musicians, and Alex is the only member remaining of his previous experiments. While college and future stuff await the band, there are still strong sentiments to continue this godless endeavor (Nevermore reference!) for years to come. We ask you give your support and by all means sign up as one of our fans, and check us out live! Trust me, live recordings miss the stage show, and simply because of the quality, a lot of the sound. We have evolved a lot as a band, as musicians and as bandmates.
We do plan to record a demo, expect that sometime Feb of 2008.

As for fans, well we need more, as it turns out: shameless self-promotion doesn't cut it these days, and we need your help, whether that by 5 minutes of your day to listen to a song, or tell your friends about us. Any and all support is welcomed and greatly appreciated.
