Bio
Sarah Jane's journey into music and song began early in life where she took roles in various stage musicals at school. At the age of 13 she began writing songs and performing for gatherings of friends and at various family functions. She left boarding school at the age of 17 to begin university studies but always felt a greater attraction to song and music composition. At the age of 19 she began performing to live audiences playing covers and songs from her own original repertoire. Over the next 10 years she has continued to develop and perfect her craft as a serious songwriter and composer. During these years she enhanced and matured her lyrical and musical gift.
Her music is influenced by life experience and her interpretation of the dynamic human condition stimulated as it is by time, circumstance and those around her.
Sarah Jane plays piano, guitar and flute.
She has recorded 13 songs with Producer Jeff Cripps at A Sharp Studio, Sydney.
These recordings represent a powerful tribute to Sarah Jane’s organic craft at song and lyric.
The union between Sarah Jane, her Producer Jeff Cripps and the musicians who played on the recordings was so persuasive that they joined her as her live band.
Sarah Jane plays live at various venues around Sydney with her band;
Martin Cilia - guitar,
Bill Kezelos - drums,
Angus Steventon - keyboards,
Mike Berry - upright bass
John Romeo- guitar,
Jeff Cripps - Front of House
The distinctive raw contemporary rock sound around Sarah Jane’s gutsy vocals are a seductive auditory experience that leave listeners wanting more.
Sarah Jane continues to write adding to her repertoire of songs and music with what she believes is a continuing evolutionary growth
