with the heroes in the bath.........
Swedish-born songwriter, Sarah MacDougall is a storyteller, entertainer and pop-troubadour with a haunting voice and songs to match. She delivers each song with passion and depth: her music rips your heart out, twists it around and then, gently coaxes it back home. Combining the raw, rustic quality of lonesome country tales with warm folk melodies, Sarah writes about love, heartbreak, crows and living (and leaving) in the city. Now living in Vancouver, BC, Sarah captures her audience with her spontaneous stage presence and a Scandinavian-Folk Americana style that has earned her the reputation as one of the most interesting emerging singer/songwriters of the Canadian West.
When Sarah isn’t touring solo, she plays and records with her band, ‘The Heroes’. The group consists of Tim Tweedale on steels and trumpet, Russell Sholberg on bass, and Shawn Killaly on drums. Sarah MacDougall and the Heroes have previously opened for Po’ Girl, Todd Snyder, Black Mountain, to name but a few, and they put on a great, energetic show that leave their audiences breathless!
