Bio
Shambling across a dusty cavern floor; cowering under the smoke and ash of the ultimate eruption; witnessing the final clash between titanic forces, SANDIA MAN rises from the collective unconscious of ten-thousand generations of humanity.
SANDIA MAN was formed in July 2008 by Alan
Edmonds & Jon Knutson (ex-Devil Riding Shotgun).
Steve "Sven" Esterly joined the group in October 2008, and their first show was in December, 2008.
About
SANDIA MAN will be laying down the live rhythm tracks for two of our songs April 18th in the bunker lair of the illustrious and sinister Mr. Miles Baum.
Since this will our first studio recording, we knew we had to start with our eponymous theme song, "Sandia Man." We'll also be recording "Skins of the Fathers," which is based upon a Clive Barker short story and has been greenlighted by Mr. Barker himself. "Skins" will include a spoken-word intro over percussion and effects - all the bells & whistles. "Sandia Man" will feature Sven, Jon, & myself on backing grunts.
Overdubbing (vocals, 2nd guitar track, EFX/percussion) will be completed in the next week or so, and as soon as we have 'em, we'll start giving away downloads and CD-Rs to whoever wants 'em.
An official vinyl release is also planned (details still to be determined). Updates to follow.
