In the biography of every artist, there comes a moment or episode which is decisive. A circumstance which sharpens the will to start a career against all odds and to live out the vocation of being an artist unconditionally.
On November 3rd, in a tiny village not far from the Syrien border in Turkey, Safiya came into the world . At the tender age of two , when Safiya arrived in Germany, her mother died. From this moment on, music became her sorrow, her consolation, her hope. At the same time, music was something secretive and forbidden for her.
