About

August 13 2007 was the day theSadieproject was born. Written with the self titled song, "Sadie", this heart wrenching music is the story of a girl who can never grow up and the woman she hides inside of. Sadie is the name of an inner child, the child who was forever destroyed by this man.

Lindsay Miller, an artist of sorts, was born in the March of 1987, on the 27th day. Lindsay had written about her inner child for many years before but had come to know her as Sadie in the August of 2007. After years of abuse and watching her mother and sister go through abuse from the same man, she began writing all the time. Her music is her journey to being being as somewhat healed as any survivor can be.

Her parents split up when she was around five or six. Her mother began dating a man who Lindsay has named The Badman.  Lindsay's life is told within the vibrant (and often too loud,) voice that she somehow possesses, the simple chords of her dying guitar, "Lucy", and the sad, tear-filled, self written lyrics. You may notice that few chords are used, Lindsay has meant for everything to be expressed through her voice and words. She has worked of feeling through the music rather than techniques, and abilities to amaze through guitar.

Through this journey, healing and a lot of accepting is going on before your ears. Years of work, years of pain and years of tears flowing onto paper. Sadie is the sad little girl who never wanted to be, but was always there to begin with.
