https://www.facebook.com/events/352040938297260/ Ruth Acuff's Harp Unveiling & EP Release Party Saturday, November 22nd, 3:00 pm The Bridge, 1020 East Walnut Columbia, Missouri 65201 Join me for an enchanted afternoon celebrating the release of my new 3 song EP, "To The Moon”, (which is dedicated to our dearly departed and those who miss them) and to be among the first to see and hear my new pedal harp! A live performance will begin at 3:00pm and end 4:00pm. I will be performing on 3 harps of 3 different sizes, with the beautiful new pedal harp to be unveiled majestically! I will be accompanied by Jeff Mueller on upright bass and vocals, Mary Leibovich on vocals and percussion, and other special guests. The event is open and free to the public, though with a $5 or more donation, you will receive a CD of the new EP. A note about "To the Moon": This EP is in honor and memory of my best friend, who left this world at a young age, but pressed a lasting imprint on my life. It is released with hope, that those who have lost someone important to them may find comfort in knowing they are not alone, and that our dearly departed are remembered and loved. A note about my new pedal harp: Many of you helped me raise funds to bring this harp into my life. THANK YOU. Now imagine all the majesty, elegance and beauty of a fine work of art, and then add the fact that it makes the music of the heavens. That is my new harp. I am so excited for you to witness it. And, yes, you can come and touch it/play it/take pictures of it after the performance.
