Rozalind MacPhail aka Mystery Flute Girl has become one of Canada’s most unique and captivating multi-instumentalist singer-songwriters. She loops guitar, flute, voice and toy instruments into her own blend of songs and soundscapes about the people and places she has connected with. While earning a masters degree in flute performance, she found an abiding passion for improvisation. As Mystery Flute Girl, she has made spontaneous guest appearances with many celebrated indie music artists including Yo La Tengo, Great Lake Swimmers, Constantines, Lou Barlow and more. Rozalind is currently composing and arranging songs for her sophomore album as she prepares for further touring across Canada and Europe. "Jethro Tull meets mid-1990s Ani DiFranco... improvisational and fluid... the album’s overall mood is generous and light-hearted and feels, at times, like you’re entering into a fairytale." -Monday Magazine, Victoria
Scott Cook is a lifelong traveler and fulltime musical hobo who brings a wealth of experience, a straightforward honesty, and a deep love of humanity to his songcraft & storytelling. He accompanies himself with guitar, banjo, ukulele, percussion and a loop sampler (aka the Hobo Hifi), tipping his hat to folk, roots, blues, oldtime country, reggae and hip hop. "Basically, this is exactly the kind of act you'd be happy to stumble down the hill or through the birches and hear at a music festival... warm like a campfire, familiar like the lake down the road... deep-thinking, introspective stuff" -Fish Griwkowsky, The Edmonton Sun
