Room 34 is in the basement of Austin High School in Austin, Minnesota.
It's also the musical pseudonym of multi-instrumentalist Scott Anderson. Scott's greatest exposure in the musical world has come primarily from his thesis on John Coltrane: room34.com/coltrane/ and from his bass playing in various rock bands in the Atlanta music scene around the turn of the millennium.
As a solo artist, Scott plays 5-string bass, guitar, keyboards, sax and programming. He's released several full-length albums and EPs both on CD and digital download as Room 34 since 2001. His latest work consists of a semi-autobiographical EP entitled "Division by Zero" and a pair of projects recorded as part of the 2008 RPM Challenge (www.rpmchallenge.com), entitled "Unnatural Disasters" and "Technetium," respectively.
Scott's work as a solo artist is well-suited to film soundtracks, and in fact some of his tracks have been used in the soundtracks of both original documentaries and some projects-for-hire in the multimedia publishing industry.
