A literary allusion, Romeo Spikes were used to keep young “Romeos” from climbing up to meet their “Juliets” on the balconies of 19th Century New Orleans.

Brought together through mutual friends in 2006, Mike Kunz (Chicago) and Donn Aaron (Atlanta) began with a weekly songwriting challenge designed to trigger eachother’s creativity.
