Former singer of the now legendary '90s North London funk/reggae band, Bob Whale & The Marleys, Rob Whale is currently singer, violinist, and guitarist with the popular Sheffield-based folk outfit, Jacks Rake. His solo career is yet to really get beyond the humble confines of his West Yorkshire residence - partly due to too many other commitments and partly due to fear and trepidation. As well as being a multi-instrumentalist, Rob is also a prolific arranger and composer. Family, music, cricket and LUFC pretty much sum up this purveyor of songs firmly rooted in his own kitchen.
One day he'll do it all live and untroubled but don't hold your breath. Watch out for new songs, though. There's a couple of semi-corkers in the pipe line.
