Throughout his career, Robert Lauri has always been ”an original”, remaining true to himself and his creative drive, unfettered by the ebb and flow of fads and fashion.
Robert Lauri has been an author, a composer, a tunesmith and a performer since his
tenderest years. His musical career has been punctuated, for more than thirty years, by
several records and a successful international career - both in the United States and in
Europe - with the Alef Group.

His album, "The Other Side", represents an intriguing musical universe.

Each of the 12 titles is imbued with its own special ambience, in different musical genres and with different rhythms. Styles ranging from country, meditative, classical mixed with pop, electro pop and soul thus live harmoniously together in this new album.

Over an electro pop beat, `Voyage' offers us a world tour of the world`s various kinds of music. `Emotion` is a title teeming with harmonies, soul and pop.

`Houston Day` is a joyful country pop item that invites us to move.

Certain melodies - such as Partir, Passion, Tumulte - evoke rousing film music that gives birth to strong emotions at the deepest level within ourselves, while opening up a horizon of peace and meditation. Hong Kong Café is a title apart, which, because of the purity of its sounds, could well appeal to yoga and meditation enthusiasts.

In Rock Symphonie, Robert Lauri shows us that he also excels as a creator and arranger of classical numbers mixed with pop.
