Bio
Mike Ogletree aka Blaxcot is an African-American-Scotsman.
In 1956 he was the first African American to be born in Scotland. Son of a US Airman and a Scots lass, he was born and raised in Burns Country - Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, a place frequented often by the Scottish Bard Robert Burns.

He played drums with the Scottish rock band Simple Minds and now lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
His latest work, inspired by the poems of Burns, borrows from the title of the poet's first publication:
