Join award-winning pianist/composers Doug Hammer and Rhonda Mackert as they share their music and stories behind their songs. Boston-based Doug Hammer will be performing from his albums Solace, his award-winning album, Travels, Heart and his new release, haiku. Learn how his music came to be and what drives him. From soft and gentle to open and dynamic, his styles cross a wide landscape: pop, new age, jazz, classical, blues and ragtime. Rhonda released her debut CD, "When the Moon Cries" in the fall of 2007. It has been featured on radio stations world-wide and placed fourth in the 2009 Just Plain Folks awards for Best Album, Solo Piano category. Her second CD, "A Wild Beauty" was released in November 2011 and was nominated for Contemporary & Modern Album of the Year at SoloPiano.com. One of the songs from this CD was recently featured on the Whisperings Solo Piano Volume 2 compilation CD. Rhonda's newest CD, "Safe Harbor", was recorded and mastered at Piano Haven Studio in Sedona, AZ and released in December 2014.
