Charleston, SC (Nov. 27, 2013) — The Charleston Music Hall is proud to announce the return of Cord and Pedal’s Holiday Extravaganza, “It’s a ball in the hall y’all!” Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Doors open at 7 pm and the show starts at 8 pm. Tickets are $10 and can be found online at CharlestonMusicHall.com, at Monster Music and Movies or Cats Music, by phone at the Etix toll free #, 1.800.514.3849, or can be purchased at the Music Hall’s Box Office (37 John Street, 843.853.2252). The Cord and Pedal Holiday Ball is a tradition that began in 2002 at the original Cumberlands. It was a very impromptu gathering of local musicians, artists, and fans. The idea was simple: perform holiday themed music in a festive atmosphere. The event grew in scope and evolved thematically with each passing year. It’s been hosted at Cumberlands (both locations), The Map Room, The Music Farm, The Pour House, and the Tin Roof. At it’s core, it’ a night for local artists to put aside their own acts and join with others to create something truly special. Expect musicians of all varieties from the Charleston music scene. Some other musicians likely to make appearances include: Cary Ann Hearst, Michael Trent, Camille Lowman, Rachel Kate Gillon, Jordon Igoe, Lindsay Holler, Kevin Hanley, Elim Bolt, Run Dan Run, Nick Jenkins, Brave Baby, The V-Tones, The Specs, Scott Dence, Magic Camp and The Silver Bells and probably a lot of other people, and hosted by Jeremy McLellan. Above all else, it is a night full of surprises – for the audience, for the performers, and even the event’s organizers. This is also the first time ever that Cord and Pedal will have a float in the Charleston Christmas Parade! Sunday, December 1st at 2pm – King Street, beginning on Broad and finishing in Marion Square Park. Come dance with us! The Holiday Ball is sponsored by The Mirth Corporation makers and distributors of Joy-A-Lot. Test Products will be handed out at the show.* *Cord and Pedal and The Charleston Music Hall are not responsible for side-effects from Joy-A-Lot including smiles, good cheer, holiday celebratory feelings, mistletoe longings, and the uncontrollable desire to sing holiday songs.
