Q.R. Station is a concept, a project, a musical journey - all of those things together. We are working on our first album, No Standing. You can play clips here at ReverbNation or check out our web site - www.qrstation.com.
Q.R. Station started as a simple idea - the simple concept was that it would be nice to make a rock album. QR, the band's singer and guitarist, had this idea while reading Bob Dylan's autobiography, which contained the line "on my first album, ...". A simple line, right? But what QR thought when he read it was "it is really cool that he can talk about a 'first album'. I want to be able to say that". With that simple beginning, QR started by going into a writing stage where he composed a bunch of songs in a span of two weeks. At this early stage, there were a few people that provided critical encouragement that kept him going. But the momentum really built when SwingDoom took a trip up to Boston to catch up with his old friend QR. While hanging out, SwingDoom started playing drums to the songs QR had been writing. All of a sudden, these songs took on a whole new trajectory. Q.R. Station was born at that moment, and what began as a simple quest to make a rock album for personal satisfaction turned into something much greater.
