“The fourth spot of the evening was occupied by crowd-friendly PISTOL WHIPPING A BLIND KID. Rather than following a setlist, they engaged the audience by letting them select songs out of a hat. Some of the band members were dressed for the occasion, with drummer Corpsy in a creeptastic clown get-up and frontman Butcher bloodied-up from a hobo knifefight. As usual, PWABK delivered a solid, thrashy, and entertaining performance. The guys are strong songwriters, so every performance guarantees catchy, memorable riffs that resonate in your head for days after a show. ”

“The night was drawing to an end, but someone forgot to tell PWABK. The five-piece came strong with 25 minutes of old school Thrash with some Death injects. This marks the fourth time I have seen PWABK in action, and each time I see them, they get better. The dueling guitars of Wasted and Violent Betty are worth seeing, and the two continue to develop a great synchronization. One of the two trademark dolls on Corpsy’s drum set was beheaded at some point during their set, proving to be a fun souvenir for one of the show’s attendees. ”

“PWABK really hit on all cylinders with their performance at this show. I had seen the band once before about a month ago, and saw some great potential despite several technical difficulties. PWABK ripped through their set with thrashing guitars, punching vocals and a bad ass rhythm section. The twin guitar attack of Violent Betty and Wasted is a treat indeed, as both seamlessly trade off rhythm and lead duties throughout the set. Watching Corpsy on his dual bass drum set is an intense experience by itself; most of his set is a straight up headbanging tirade. PWABK are a great local thrash act, and I recommend you check them out on ”

“Thrashing death act Pistol Whipping a Blind Kid started the night off with their 30 minute set. This was one of those nights for PWABK; everything from losing picks, to a bass strap breaking, to drum and guitar malfunctions affected their set. Through it all, PWABK pushed through and delivered a set full of hard melodies, punishing vocals and double bass drum attacks. PWABK even treated the crowd to an improvisation of the 80's tune "Mickey," which was a interesting to say the least. I could have used a bit more volume on the two guitars; however, I still enjoyed the set. These guys have talent, there is no doubt.”
