Bio
An altar ego of singer/songwriter/one-man-band pat mAcdonald, Purgatory Hill plays a Lowebow "Purgatory Hill Harp" which consists of a cigar box and two poles with three guitar strings and a bass string attached. Slide guitar, banjo, and bass seem to erupt from its massive amplified sound. Add neck-rack harmonica, electrified foot stomp, and melaniejane on tambourine, maracas, keyboards & backing vocals and you have, in the words of one critic, “a sexy little freak show of a duo!”
