“DMV Musicians Unite for Nanjemoy Benefit Concert Local rappers, go-go bands, and other artists will come together this Saturday (October 1st) for a benefit concert to support the citizens of Nanjemoy, Maryland. Nanjemoy is a community of ramshackle homes and trailers located in Charles County - a little more than 30 minutes from Washington, DC. Many of the homes in Nanjemoy do not have running water or electricity. The benefit concert to help Nanjemoy is entitled "The World Away", and is sponsored by 420 Friendly Radio. The concert will take place at the American Legion in Indian Head (4345 Livingston Road, Indian Head, MD 20640-3324), and features rappers Porche' 9-11, Sacrifice Entertainment, Tito Starr & the Down Da Road Boyz, Cap Citi Entertainment, and 32. The Khemistry Band and the Critical Revelation Band will also perform. And the comedy relief will be provided by Joe Jack, Eddie Bryant, and the "3 Cool Dudes" from 420 Radio.”
