“The band I most wanted to see that evening was Piss 'N' Blood. Having previously seen PNB open for The Dickies, I was really looking forward to hearing some more steady-driving, hard-hitting, punk 'n' roll from this impressive Orange County foursome. For some goofy reason, PNB was moved to a much earlier time slot and had to play second. The annoyance served vocalist Ron Anger well, as he merely absorbed it into his sneering, energetic performance. Piss 'N' Blood ain't no kid band. They are four, well-seasoned punk rockers who know how to craft socially-conscious and critical songs that are just as enjoyable as they are scathing. More than a week later, the infectiously-piercing song "24-Hour Machine" is still happily playing non-stop in my mind. “Damn. I am pleasantly surprised by PISS N’ BLOOD! I have to be honest and admit that I wasn’t expecting much from a somewhat cliché looking CD package. But you know what? In this case all the clichés are perfect and work in this bands favor! Nothing on this is particularly unique or original, but it’s done perfectly! There isn’t a lot of info with the actual CD, but they have a great website, and from what I see on there, they’re from Orange County, CA (which makes total sense now, listening to this) and while none of the members have been in any notable bands from what I can tell, they’ve all been in a slew of bands. Punk Rock Bowling was started back in 1999 as a way to bring the independent music community together for an annual party. It has since grown into a 3 day festival in downtown Las Vegas that brings out fans and bands alike from all over the world. Everyone is welcome to attend Punk Rock Bowling and even if you do not bowl, there are a lot of other things going on all weekend long. All ages are welcome to the festival shows each day, but if you are under 18, you must be accompanied by an adult. All Club Shows are 21 and over.
