Philip has been singing and writing songs since he started learning how to play the guitar at 16.  He draws influence from artists stretching from Johnny Cash, Stevie Wonder, Dave Matthews, to relative new comers such as Matt Nathanson.  Within his songs you'll hear country, rock, pop, and, sometimes a little jazz, coming together to make a ecclectic addition to the  progressive music scene.  When asked what he liked the most about being an artist, "Singing is great and performing can be so amazingly energizing, but I'd label myself a lyricist first."  His emphasis on lyrical quality is easily revealed  when listening to his well crafted songs.  If you enjoy story based songs or songs that you can really connect with, than give him a moment of your time.  You won't be dissatisfied.
