"Pete Herger is that rock singer-songwriter who comes along once in a generation, combining the melodic pop sensibility of The Beatles, Billy Joel, and U2 with the lyrical power of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young into great songs which become important parts of your life."

Q: How old were you when you first wrote a lyric or music? Which came first and what was your inspiration? How long before it became a polished song that you felt was complete and where was it performed?
A: Thank you for the thoughtful, great question! I started dabbling in original melody when I first sat down at the piano as a little rocker, the words came later in life, not until there were meaningful emotions, experience, and things happening in the world that needed to be written about. My first song with melody and lyrics I wrote was actually done in maybe 10-15 minutes, a little tune called "Hey, Baby" which was a collab. with a great buddy of mine. It that had these Beatley, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis piano hooks and percussion - kind of an updated 60s-ish 2 1/2 minute pop rock number. Will have to re-release the old demo for y'all, or maybe record a proper version :-) Thanks for your support, being a great fan, and #KeepRockin', Pete
