Beginning years ago, Petal Blight was formed in a similar manner to geologic formations, with some elements eroding and others remaining around a central songwriting core. Now a five-piece band with occasional additional guest musicians, Petal Blight is, like many stalactites and stalagmites, a strange and beautiful mesh of color and harmony. A backbone of solid rhythms layered with melody and countermelody in styles that are not often bound by genre.
