“Bayamo, El Son de Cuba, is a big band of Cuban Son created in 2005 by the Robert A. Paneque Foundation, in order to bring to flamenco the best of traditional Cuban music. The band was formed following the merger of the quintets Son de Cuba (from Bayamo, MN) and Viramas (Rio Cauto), both locations of Grannma province, about 800 km east of Havana, Cuba. Once coordinated the repertoire -carefully selected by Roberto A. Paneque Fonseca, executive producer Cuban Flamenco project-, BAYAMO proceeded to carry out the assembly, testing and recording of the 14 tracks that make up the CD. ”
