“Listen to Locklin Road on Spotify.”

“Their debut, ‘The Waters and the Wild,’ was a terrific collection, and 'Waken the Echoes' is a step ahead. … Gathering both traditional tunes that they’ve updated and a handful of originals by Sheri O’Meara, who seems to be particularly inspired by the Irish countryside, the trio—also featuring Dan Kowalke and Gregg Weigand —again offer a string-based set that lies easy on the ears; even the most staid traditionalists will find the 'rockers' to their liking.”

“(Christmas Light) is a rich mosaic of well-crafted originals and beloved Scottish/Celtic holiday pieces. This is a terrific choice for those who love warmly executed folk music; every note is a treasure. ... O'Meara contributes six new holiday pieces, and she definitely knows how to marry melodies with lyrics into masterful Christmas tales ... the stories had me hanging on every word. Folk aficionados who enjoy Celtic stylings and embrace newly-minted holiday pieces should have a field day with this one. Enjoy the brilliant Christmas Light!”

“I’m a fan of any CD that has 'Raggle Taggle Gypsy' on it ... The best part is that the other songs on Waken the Echoes were also excellent. Sheri O’Meara’s rich vocals add a lot to the tracks here, but the arrangements and musicianship are also top notch.”

"Locklin Road provides a compelling arrangement of traditional and original music. ... They are an experience and provide a remarkable sound."

“Sunday Songs is a pretty nifty CD that sprang from a serendipitous melding of traditional Irish melodies and words from an American hymnal. And in nearly every case it’s a successful marriage. On their fourth disc, Locklin Road also find their country soul on the likes of 'Gospel Plow' and 'Angel Band' and would seem to have a whole other audience if they pursued that route. O’Meara’s 'Let Them In' is a touching plea for human charity and divine intervention, while the trio embraces its spiritual inclinations on the traditional 'When I Lay My Burden Down.' And the disc closes with the touching prayer 'May God Go With You,' which melds another O’Meara lyric effort with the tune from 'The Parting Glass.' Not a church-goer? No matter. An hour spent with this outing will fill you with the spirit through at least midweek.”

"Christmas Light is easily the best submission of Christmas music I received this year! Tenderly crafted arrangements of traditional songs alongside brilliant new original tracks result in the perfect blend of holiday folk music."
