The SourMash Band / Press

“SourMash original songs are heavily influenced by the sounds of the artists mentioned above. Solid country beats with a heavy flavor of steel guitar, they will remind you of a musical style that is hard to find in today’s music. “Long Neck Beer & Long Legged Women” was our first original tune and it describes the days of going to the Armadillo Ballroom low on gas, drinking Lone Star Beer, and dancing with some of the most outstanding ladies in Texas.”

“Popular Brazoria County country band, The SourMash Band, that is set to perform at The Great Texas Mosquito Festival in Clute on July 28, just released thier debut self-titled CD. The group has opened for the likes of Pat Green, Randy Rogers, Wade Bowen, and others. The first single from the CD, "Longneck Beer & Long Legged Women" which was inspired by the Brazoria's Armadillo Ballroom was produced by Jason Rooks and recorded at R&R Studios. The sound of the band, as Bo points out, "is just hard-driving honky-tonk music".”
