“Alanna’s sultry vocals are brilliantly showcased throughout the EP, often sounding similar to Amy Lee (Evanescence) and Grace Potter (Grace Potter and The Nocturnals). The perfect compliment to Alanna’s expansive vocal range is the intense rock sound generated by the band.”
“Love’s Tragedy: The Night also featured the release for the new EP, “Divide & Conquer” from Nashville band Love’s Tragedy. The set was short and sweet and featured a few older songs from the well established band with many of the strongest tunes of the night coming off the new EP, which is good news! Colleen’s sultry voice lends itself well to the band’s polished metal sound, which is most clearly defined by the stellar tone of guitarist Keith White. Not to be forsaken is the band’s rhythm section with held things together providing the perfect foundation for LT’s sound. The band played with great intensity and saw Billy commanding stage right with both chops and movement! I also have to wonder just how many sticks David broke during the short set?! The boy needs an endorsement from a drumstick manufacturer just so he doesn’t go broke! more.... ”
“Love’s Tragedy is one of the very few bands in Nashville to feature a frontwoman. Love’s Tragedy favors a more modern style of metal than the other two and is a sharp foursome. With their live debut in 2009 and their 2010 short firestorm of a five-song album entitled ‘Divide and Conquer,’ Love’s Tragedy are currently making waves in Nashville and the surrounding areas. With a sound that would fit in well with the likes of Alter Bridge, guitarist Keith White has some equally impressive guitar-work.”
“COLLEEN ALANNA, SOON TO BE THE NEXT GREAT FRONT WOMAN ON THE SCENE! ....LOVE'S TRAGEDY DEBUT SHOW, THINK THEY WILL BE AROUND FOR AWHILE!”
