"Have to reiterate what I've said before that Carrie Luce Forsythe has one of the finest voices I have heard in a long time. Why she is not a mega star is beyond me. She should be. She could sing the menu at Earl's and I'd be blown away!"

John Einarson - Manitoba Music Museum

“Back in 1999 I did a tour or 2 with a great local trip hoppy rock band called LOAD There was a bunch of us in a big RV and did some of my first working trips to the east coast and New York. Exciting times. Back then Luce was hauling around a baby on the road and it blew my mind that adults could pull all this shit together and still be "artists". Tonight 15 years later I got to mix Load once again in the iconic The Pyramid Cabaret, with a few different players, nice suprise to see Keith Dyck playing Acoustic guitar and singing! The band was fantastic! Mature and cultivated, like a fine glass of sipping tequila. Rockin like a hurricane in all the right places and bringing it down to a subtle grind when they felt like it, all the while Carrie Luce Forsythe strutting about the stage like she just bought the mortgage with spare change from her purse. This a great band with fantastic songs, why they are not famous is beyond my comprehension....sigh... this is TRUE”

Chris Brett - Manitoba Music Museum

“The members of LOAD never lower themselves to play straight-ahead, boring, derivative rock, instead creating a wide range of original, rock-based material.”

Chart Magazine

“Led by the compelling presence of vocalist Luce, who can be reminiscent of Bjork and Tori Amos - LOAD is a post modern amalgam of jazz, blues, R&B and rock.”

Bartley Kives & John Kendle - Winnipeg Free Press

“Austin City Papers describled LOAD as"Compelling jazz-rock adventurers" and "a cross between Portishead and Led Zeppelin" they were all this and more.”

Darryl Sterdan - Winnipeg Free Press

“LOAD is an impressive blend of musical fabrics: part fuzzrock, smoky jazz, nouveau basement abstraction and punky abandon - LOAD is eccentrically electric.”

John Lyons - Winnipeg Free Press
