Symintha is an anointed Christian songwriter, preacher, and psalmist. She is no stranger to the gospel music industry. She has been on the scene more than two decades singing first as a background vocalist for various choirs and groups; a chorale director and minister of music; and later a psalmist touring the Unites States while captivating audiences with her tremendous gift. Symintha is the product of a long line of apostolic preachers, teachers, evangelist, pastors, psalmists, songwriters, and musicians. She is a native of Detroit, MI and currently resides in the state of Texas.
Symintha began her Christian walk and ministry under the tutelage of Evangelist Rocine Jackson. She received her first opportunity to sing as a solo artist with A. Craig Darby’s gospel ensemble on tour in Las Vegas, NV. She performed Tramaine Hawkins’ “Don’t be Weary and “Holy One” as her first solos. She accepted the call into the ministry while attending True Holiness Church of God in Christ, Lancaster, California. She was also a worship leader and minister of music.
Symintha has a beautifully toned mezzo soprano voice encompassing a 5 octave range. She has been compared to such gospel legends as Tramaine Hawkins, Yolanda Adams, and Vicki Winans. However, make no mistake Symintha has a unique style of her own and is best known for her ability to make a song her own. She is a veteran musical evangelist who is able to connect with any audience uplifting Jesus Christ while encouraging the believer and bringing the message of hope and salvation to the unbeliever.
She has ministered on two live broadcasting networks in Atlanta, GA as minister of music of the Out of Egypt Ministries and during a broadcast of "Atlanta Live” Christian television programming. She appeared as a background vocalist with the Potter's House Choir on the 2001 Stellar Awards singing the acclaimed “The Storm Is Over”. She won the singles Talent show at the Potter's House in 2000. She performed with the drama ministry at the Black Arts Theatre in Dallas, Texas as well as surrounding prisons. She has opened for Gospel Icons Pastor Shirley Caesar in concert in Butler, AL; Tramaine Hawkins in concert in Hampton, VA; the Anointed Pace Sisters in concert; and Thomas Whitfield and Company in Detroit, MI at their 1998 anniversary celebration. In addition to being an anointed psalmist, while in the midst of raising five children, working full-time, she worked to receive her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration graduating with honors (Magna Cum Laude) in 2006.
She is one of God's elect and walks in the power and authority of Jesus Christ. She understands that it is more about the God in you than the gift in you, so she strives to be an epistle so that men will see the reflection and image of Christ in her life.
