4pm PASADENA Imagine the feeling you get the moment you put on your favorite band and all your problems seem to drift away. That feeling is spreading across the U.S. thanks to Pasadena.
Formed in 2000 by lead singer Joey Harkum in his hometown of Pasadena, Maryland, the band’s popularity has grown as they have gone from playing in small bars in Pasadena to signing with management from 1Koast Entertainment and performing for sold out crowds all over the U.S.
Over the past few years Pasadena has provided smooth bass lines, emotional lyrics, intricate rhythms, and beautiful harmonies that have helped create an unbreakable bond with their fans. http://thepasadenaband.com
6pm SHOELESS SOUL Shoeless Soul is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Rene Schlegel. During one of Rene’s performances at a local open mic, Sladjan Vidic grabbed the sticks and sat behind the drum set to accompany him. The harmonious connection was clear from the start. Soon the two began performing as an acoustic duo, but eventually felt the sound needed to be fuller. The sound needed that low end. Justin Pearl Morakis has joined us on bass. He's rock solid and very well rooted in reggae rhythms.
Their camaraderie is undeniable and evident in the playful musical banter and infectious smiles they display on stage. There sound has been described as feel-good pop-fusion, jazzy-reggae jam or more recently “Prozac-Pop”. The bending of genres infused with tasteful jams and catchy chorus lines gives shoeless soul a tone that has yet to be replicated.
8:00pm FREELOW Singer/Songwriter and New Orleans native, Jason Frilot, left his hometown in July of 2011 to pursue his dreams on an East Coast tour. The intentions of the tour did not go as planned, as he instantly fell in love with Clearwater, Florida and decided to stay. Frilot played around the area and eventually found the perfect members for the band he envisioned. Kathy Roberts (percussionist), Rory Flaherty (lead guitarist), James "Bones" Austin (drummer) and Jackson "JT" Turner (bassist) not only fit the bill as far as the sound he desired, but their passion and attitude fit the energy of what the music demanded. With influences of reggae, rock, folk, hip hop, and blues along side Frilot's positive lyrics, it was clear that Freelow was well on their way to spread the message of love. With over 30 original songs, Freelow doesn't play cover songs and stays true to the creation of their unique sound. Stay in touch with their progress and upcoming shows so that one day you too can witness the Freelow Music Experience.
